Public Safety (Fire & WCSO)

Overview

Under the direction of the Mayor, Fire Chief, and City Council, the Public Safety Department is responsible for the management of the City's public safety and community policing programs.

These programs include:

A permanently staffed ambulance from 8 am to 5 pm, other hours staffed by volunteers.

The Public Safety Department also manages the day-to-day operation of the Plain City Fire Station and provides clerical and other staff support as required.

Plain City's Law Enforcement services are contracted with the Weber County Sheriff's Department.

Other contracts for law enforcement support services include patrol helicopter, animal control, district attorney, probation, crossing guards, and special legal services.
